UK: NatWest to provide £150m boost to women-owned SMEs

In honour of international women’s day, NatWest announced a range of new initiatives to help women-owned SMEs succeed.

The new initiatives include a £150m fund to help female-led businesses start and develop, as well as over 60 events for female entrepreneurs where they can access advice, education, and networking opportunities with other business leaders.

The move comes as part of NatWest’s aims to become the best bank for women-led companies in the UK, with NatWest’s CEO of Commercial and Private Banking Alison Rose saying that: “We hope that [the] announcement encourages more female entrepreneurs and equips more women to scale up their existing businesses”.

Dates for the events and full details of the fund are yet to be announced.
